Umberto Galimberti (born Monza, 2 May 1942) is a prominent Italian philosopher, psychoanalyst, and academic known for his work on the human condition in the age of technology and culture. He has served as Professor of Philosophy of History and Dynamic Psychology at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and is an ordinary member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology. A student and translator of Karl Jaspers, Galimberti has published widely on themes such as the symbolic, the body, and the impact of technology on modern existence.
